Coffee Bean Wedding Favors

Wedding favors are one of my favorite parts of wedding decor. They can be really personalized, not just with names and dates, but with the actual items meaning something to the couple! I really wanted to give ours at the very beginning of the day, because so many times I’ve attended or worked weddings where half the guests forgot to grab their favor before they left! So ours were the cups guests used to sip their coffee out of in the morning.

Jared and I are avid coffee lovers, and since our wedding was a brunch, we gave coffee cups with a bag of chocolate covered coffee beans in them as our favors. They were presented at the coffee table as guests first arrived. I’d seen a lot of cute coffee favor ideas, I was looking for something unique yet reasonably priced and easy to make. I’d seen some with custom stamped cups and cute little tags, but I was working graveyard at the time and the little energy I had for wedding planning was spreading thin.

We opted for stickers, as it would be relatively easy to customize the cups and bags of coffee beans. After pricing a few different sites, I settled on VistaPrint. I have used them quite a few times and really like their customer service. They’ve always got great deals going on top of their great prices. Our wedding colors were light blue, gold, and crimson, so I designed 3 different sticker sets using black and gold. My bridesmaids helped me pick set #2 and I got 152 stickers (76 each) for just $20.

We ordered our coffee cups on Amazon which came with the sleeves and lids from amazon for $21.99. We ordered the 12oz ones, but they come in 16oz and 20oz as well. My bags of beans barely showed in the cups that I kinda wish that we had smaller cups.

I found both the bags and the sparkly gold ribbon at Michaels for $1.99. The chocolate covered coffee beans were available in bulk at WinCo. I probably ate half of them as I filled the bags that I am not sure how much it cost me! lol

I was working graveyard at the Sheriff’s Office the summer before our wedding and on slow nights I put the badass deputies on my team to work helping me fill and tie the bags! We also ate a LOT of chocolate covered coffee beans. However, I put the stickers on because I didn’t trust them to put them where I wanted them. 🙂 It made for some good laughs and great memories and they definitely turned out beautiful.

Out of all of the DIYs in our wedding, the favors were definitely my favorite. Let me know if you use them! I want to see pictures of yours. 🙂
